18 to 40 years

Salary
Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ ₹ 14,000/- to ₹ 70,000/- plus Grade Pay other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”.
Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary School
1. Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
2. 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
3. Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary.
4. Non Essential: NCC Certificate, Sports & Cultural Achievements.
Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary School
1. Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
2. Bachelor’s Degree.
3. 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
4. Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.
5. Non Essential: NCC Certificate, Sports & Cultural Achievements.
Eligibility
The candidates who have passed the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) conducted by the Elementary Education Department, Assam will be eligible for applying and candidates who will appear and pass Assam TET.
The Language-I of the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) of the candidate shall match the medium of instruction of the school, wherein the candidate wishes to apply.
Selection Process
The Selection of the candidates shall be strictly in order of merit list and marks will be allocated as follows
HSSLC or its equivalent – 100 Marks
Graduation (If required) – 100 Marks
Assam TET for UPS – 100 Marks
Profession Qualification (DElEd & BEd etc.) – 100 Marks
NCC – 10 Marks
Certificate in Recognized Sport representing Assam officially at National Level – 10 Marks
Achievements in Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing the State officially at National Level – 10 Marks
